In the Stamford neighborhoods of Glenbrook and Springdale, form-based zoning and design guidelines have promoted compact, mixed-use development near these two train stations on the New Canaan branch line. The plan and zoning have shaped redevelopment in these neighborhoods, including the reclamation of a former gravel operation for new compact residential development and greenway along the Norton River, and other mixed-use infill developments.
