Beyond the Box
This research focuses on the urban design issues associated with “big box” developments in manufacturing districts and explores the potential for these structures to accommodate multiple programs over time. This work was the subject of an exhibition at the Municipal Art Society and has been published in Oculus and Progressive Architecture magazines. (Funded by individual project grants from the national endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts).
